Business picked up this month in the
Public Affairs Department. Irv
Knopf’s retirement reception was a remarkable event which I described
in a press release to the local papers.
Hopefully, an article will appear in the local papers.
With classes starting up in a few weeks, I kept busy sending out
announcements to the usual media sources.
My ace photographer, Judi Bidwick, entered one of her photos in
the National Public Affairs Department Contest, and she won second place
in the Operations category. Photos
were judged on the use of imagination and creativity, promoting the
Auxiliary programs and image, attracting the attention of the media and
boating public. Winners
will be announced at the D-7 conference in September.
