The Fall District 7
Conference will be held in Daytona on September 24.
Guenther Hennig will represent the flotilla.
There are a number of excellent presentations, seminars, and
training opportunities at this year’s conference, and he will have
to make some tough decisions about which to attend.
Guenther will report back on the ones he attends.
Our facility has taken
on a new look, thanks to the assistance of members who painted,
cleaned, rearranged, organized, and prepared the rooms for this
year’s activities. We
are so fortunate to have members who respond to any occasion to help
us achieve our goals.
Irv Knopf will join our
Public Education instructors this fall to teach a class.
Irv just celebrated his 45th year in the Auxiliary.
Welcome back to our cadre of instructors, Irv.
Many new members have
joined us this year. I’d
like to welcome each and every one of you and welcome your
participation in our member training.
In addition, each of you has a place as a volunteer in our
Public Education Program that begins with registration on September 8.
You will be welcomed that evening from 1800-1900 to assist.
There are good benefits to having members at our classes on
Monday and Thursday evenings beginning at 1830. Show
up and be surprised at how much you will enjoy interacting with our
Boating Seamanship Classes…no experience necessary!
Al and I will be
returning to Venice around September 20 and we look forward to seeing
each of you.
