Three members successfully qualified for crew in October, namely, John Kandes, Henry Reynolds and John Harrison. Please join me in congratulating these members for their achievements. I also want to thank the mentors and all members who contributed to the training of these members. Lou Magyar and Judi Bidwick were the coxswains who supported this mission with their vessels.

The QE mission took place on Tuesday, October 18th at the Nokomis Moorings. Several regular and new members attended this event to learn more about qualification requirements and meet Gabby Grey and John Scholl, the QEs for this mission. Following the mission 17 members met for lunch at the Crow's Nest for celebration and fellowship.

Ed Stebner had set up a Patrols course at the Auxiliary Training Center, Harbor Drive:

• Monday and Thursday 0900-1200
