I would
like to take this opportunity to thank the flotilla and especially
Judi Bidwick for the outstanding response to Hurricane Wilma. While
I was away on business, the flotilla fulfilled every commitment to
the Division in a timely and professional manner. The efforts of
each flotilla member do not go unrecognized by our Division and
District. Thanks for a job well done!
Congratulations to Henry Reynolds, John Harrison, and John Kandes,
our newest crew members. A special thanks goes to those who made
this QE mission a success. There's a lot of preparation and
coordination that goes into the training and completion of these
missions; a special thanks to Juan, Lou, and Judi.
I extend a warm welcome back to our members returning from the
north. We have an ambitious agenda as usual, including patrols,
training, Public Education, and a night ATON patrol.
Our Change of Watch list grows and we had to secure another bus. If
you plan to attend, there is still room and you need to contact Momi
or Lou Magyar to make your payment. The Change of Watch is scheduled
for November 12th and it's on the StarShip Dining Yacht out of
Tampa. The price is $53 per person including transportation.
At the recent Division VIII meeting, Raymond Paysour VCP was elected
Division Captain and Fred Kermode SO/PS was elected Vice Division
Commander. We extend our congratulations and look forward to working
with the newly elected officers and staff.
It's the time of year when we start to put together our Flotilla
Roster for 2006. If your address, phone number, e-mail address or
any other information has changed, please let either Judi or me
know. Also, we are trying to put together a list of members who have
not yet received their ID cards. If you have not received one,
please let us know as soon as possible.
