The following is uniform
guidance for the boat crews regarding the new ODUs.
The D7 standard is...
Division 7
has set standards for uniforms in order to maintain a professional
appearance in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. It is appropriate to mix
the older dark blue uniform and the new ODU. However, there will be
no mixing of colors, ie., light and dark blue shirts or long and
short pants. The Order Issuing Authority may change these directions
at any time. It is not the intention of the Coast Guard or Auxiliary
leadership to cause financial hardship on any member by forcing them
to purchase ODUs just to be part of a boat crew.
